Abstract
This study aims to analyze the changes that have occurred in the Kota Lama Surabaya area following the implementation of the revitalization project. Through improvements in infrastructure, the arrangement of open spaces, and the development of public facilities, the revitalization in Kota Lama Surabaya is expected to attract more visitors and enhance social interaction in the area. Additionally, collaboration between the government, local communities, and business actors, including coffee shops, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) supported by the City of Surabaya, as well as other parties involved in marketing, is key to creating an ecosystem that supports creativity and innovation. The analysis in this study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, employing purposive sampling techniques to determine samples that serve as informants or sources. The results of the study indicate that revitalization in Kota Lama Surabaya has a positive impact on the socio- cultural conditions of the local community, including the emergence of new job opportunities and an increase in community income, both through trade and participation in tourism activities in the area. Regarding community involvement, it is known that all decisions and the continuity of tourism activities are fully held by the Surabaya City government under the auspices of the Department of Culture and Tourism.
