Abstract
The promotion of storynomics tourism, which is based on narrative and culture, has become a relevant concept for introducing the appeal of historical and cultural tourism. The former De Javasche Bank Surabaya, as one of the remaining colonial cultural heritage sites, holds potential for further development through the emphasis on historical narratives. This study aims to identify the implementation of the storynomics tourism concept in promoting the tourist attraction of the former De Javasche Bank Surabaya. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The concept applied is Storynomics Tourism, using the AIDA model theory. Data collection techniques include direct observation, interviews with management and visitors, as well as literature study. Data analysis is conducted using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the study show that the promotion is carried out through historical narratives presented in various offline and online media. Furthermore, the promotion conducted by the management has implemented storynomics-based tourism promotion and plays a crucial role in the decision-making stages of visiting, from attracting attention to prompting actual visits, in accordance with the Attention, Interest, Desire, Action (AIDA) method. This is supported by interviews with ten tourists who have visited the Cultural Heritage Site of the former De Javasche Bank Surabaya. However, the current promotional efforts still have the potential to be further optimized by enhancing direct promotions that utilize spatial arrangements and by developing the De Javasche Bank Surabaya to be more engaging for younger generations.
