Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of poverty levels and the number of schools on the School Participation Rate (APS) in Pacitan City at the elementary, junior high, and high school levels. The background of this study is based on the low educational participation in several areas of Pacitan which is influenced by the socio-economic conditions of the community and the unequal availability of educational facilities. The method used is quantitative research with multiple linear regression analysis using secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pacitan City for the period 2013–2023. The results show that the poverty level has a negative effect on the APS, while the number of schools has a positive effect on the APS. Simultaneously, both variables have a significant effect on the APS in Pacitan City. Thus, increasing access to education and reducing poverty levels are important keys in encouraging school participation, so that local governments are expected to expand the development of educational facilities in rural areas and strengthen educational assistance programs so that educational equality can be achieved.
