Abstract

Digital transformation in the financial sector has pushed Indonesian society towards a cashless society, one example being the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) by Bank Indonesia. Generation Z, as a technology-savvy generation, has great potential to adopt digital payment systems like QRIS. However, understanding of the factors influencing QRIS acceptance by this generation is still limited, necessitating further study using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study employed a quantitative approach with a purposive sampling technique of 170 Generation Z respondents who had used QRIS. The respondent criteria used were: (1) Generation Z aged 17-28, (2) having ever/currently used QRIS, and (3) having a Surabaya ID card. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using PLS-SEM techniques with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The results showed that Perceived Ease of Use contributed to Perceived Usefulness and Attitude Toward Using. Furthermore, Perceived Usefulness contributes to Attitude Toward Using and Behavioral Intention to Use, while Attitude Toward Using contributes to Behavioral Intention to Use, which ultimately contributes to Actual System Use. These findings reinforce the importance of perceived ease of use and usefulness in driving the adoption of digital payment technology. Keywords: Attitude Toward Using; Behavioral Intention; Perceived Ease of Use; Perceived Usefulness; QRIS
