Abstract

This report presents the results of a research internship at the East Java Provincial Environmental Agency (DLH Jatim) under the Independent Campus (MBKM) program, which focused on developing an earthquake disaster simulation using Virtual Reality (VR). The project aimed to enhance disaster preparedness among employees by integrating innovative technology into training and mitigation practices. Data were collected through direct observation of the agency building and interviews with staff, followed by the modeling of virtual assets using Blender 3D and the integration of interactive scenarios in Unity. The VR simulation included stages of earthquake occurrence, evacuation, and assembly point gathering, providing immersive experiences that improved awareness and decision-making in emergencies. The findings highlight VR as an effective and modern tool for disaster preparedness, offering benefits not only for DLH Jatim but also for broader applications in environmental management and public education.
