Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of career development and job satisfaction on turnover intention among employees of the Production Division at PT. Jawa Pos Media Televisi (JTV) Surabaya. Turnover intention has become an important issue in human resource management, particularly in the media industry, which faces dynamic changes and intense competition. Poorly structured career development and suboptimal job satisfaction are suspected to be factors influencing employees’ desire to leave the company. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method, where data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 60 respondents. The data analysis technique used is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The variables studied consist of career development (X1), job satisfaction (X2), and turnover intention (Y), with each indicator having been tested for validity and reliability. The results indicate that both career development and job satisfaction have a negative and significant effect on turnover intention. This means that the higher employees’ perception of career development and job satisfaction, the lower their intention to leave the company. These findings highlight the importance of human resource management strategies that focus on providing clear career opportunities and improving the quality of the work environment to retain competent employees.
