Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of lifestyle and financial knowledge on the personal financial management of Generation Z residing in Surabaya. Generation Z, born between 1997 and 2012, is known as a digital-native generation that has grown up with rapid technological advancements and a culture of consumerism, both of which significantly affect their financial behavior. This research employs a quantitative associative method with a purposive sampling technique, involving 100 respondents who meet specific criteria. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and analyzed through multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. The findings indicate that both lifestyle and financial knowledge simultaneously have a significant impact on the personal financial management of Gen Z. Partially, financial knowledge has a significant and positive influence, while lifestyle shows a significant yet negative effect. These results highlight the importance of financial literacy in equipping Gen Z to make prudent financial decisions amidst growing consumerist tendencies. This research is expected to contribute both theoretically and practically to the field of personal financial management, especially among younger generations.
