Abstract
CV. Pepari Kreasi Indonesia is a company that produces goods such as bags, wallets, and other accessories made of leather. The problem faced by this company is that there are still many defects in leather bag products as superior products. Therefore, this study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the defects that occur using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and 5W + 1H methods to provide recommendations for improvement. The results of the study showed that there were 3 types of defects in leather bag products, namely uneven leather texture, scratch marks, and stitching holes with each probability value in sequence being 0,1018%, 0,1577%, and 0,1034%. The proposed improvements that can be made are improvements to quality control procedures, periodic warehouse evaluations, raw material verification, supervision of equipment and work areas, maintenance of machines and equipment, and training and appeals to workers.
