Abstract
An Adipic Acid plant with a capacity of 50,000 tons/year is planned to be built in the Kujang Cikampek Industrial Area, West Java. The process uses Cyclohexanol and Nitric Acid as main raw materials, supported by Vanadium Pentoxide catalyst. Cyclohexanol is imported from Japan, while Nitric Acid is sourced locally. The production involves four main stages: preheating of raw materials, oxidation reaction with 96% conversion using a tubular reactor, crystallization and drying of the product, followed by grinding to 65 mesh. The final product is then packaged and stored for distribution.
