Abstract
This research aims to design and build a motorcycle on-off control system using WiFi technology with the ESP32 module. The system is designed to allow riders to control the ignition of their motorcycles through a smartphone device without the need for a physical ignition key. The ESP32 functions as an Access Point (AP), enabling direct connection with the smartphone via WiFi Direct, thus eliminating the need for an external internet connection. The system consists of several main components, including a 2004 Supra X 110cc motorcycle, the motorcycle battery, a step-down module to reduce voltage from 12V to 5V, an ESP32 WROOM 32D module, a push button to deactivate the relay during refueling, and a 3V relay that serves as a replacement for the motorcycle's ignition switch. The system operates by drawing 12V power from the motorcycle battery, which is then stepped down to 5V using the step-down module to power the ESP32. The ESP32 creates a WiFi Direct network that can be accessed by the user's smartphone. Through an application connected to the ESP32, the user can send commands to turn the motorcycle on or off. The 3V relay acts as a switch that replaces the function of the motorcycle's ignition system, so when an on or off command is sent from the smartphone, the relay activates or deactivates the motorcycle's ignition system. System testing was conducted to ensure the reliability and responsiveness of the system in controlling the motorcycle. The results show that the system functions well within a certain range, with fast and stable response times. Additionally, the inclusion of a push button as a safety feature allows the rider to manually deactivate the relay during refueling, preventing the risk of sparks that could pose a danger. With this system, it is expected to provide additional convenience and safety for motorcycle riders, especially in emergency situations or when the physical ignition key is unavailable.
