Abstract
This study aims to find out, analyze and describe the extent to which pentahelix collaboration plays a role in the development of Reyog Ponorogo local culture as an effort to realize sustainable tourism in Ponorogo Regency. The pentahelix approach involves five key stakeholders namely academia, business, community, government and media. In recent years, Reyog has faced various challenges, including claims from other countries, lack of resources and poor governance of tourism programs. Through pentahelix collaboration, Reyog's cultural potential is expected to have a positive impact on the economy and welfare of local communities. The research method used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results showed that the collaboration of the five pentahelix actors in the development of Reyog Ponorogo's local culture has been realized and implemented stably which has great potential in encouraging sustainable tourism in Ponorogo Regency, but in its implementation there are still obstacles experienced by each actor. It is necessary to improve, strengthen between actors and formulate the right strategy to overcome the existing challenges so that the collaborative activities of Reyog Ponorogo's local cultural development become more optimal. The results of this study are expected to provide recommendations for the development of the local culture of Reyog Ponorogo.
