Abstract
The news about the inauguration of Deddy Corbuzier as a special staff of the Ministry of Defense has made the news widely reported by online news portals and has attracted a lot of public attention in Indonesia. This news has caused the emergence of various perspectives and various pros and cons in the public sphere towards the inauguration of Deddy Corbuzier as a special staff of the Ministry of Defense, so that many online news portals tell this event from various sides and points of view. This study aims to analyze the framing of Robert N. Entman's model in the news of Deddy Corbuzier's inauguration as a special staff of the Ministry of Defense on online news portals Tempo.co and CNN Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative method with the type of research analysis of the Robert N. Entman model. Robert N. Entman's framing analysis of the model uses analysis based on four elements, namely define problem, diagnose causes, make moral judgement and treatment recommendation. The results of this study stated that the framing formed and created by online media Tempo.co highlight this issue with a polemic approach related to the election of Deddy Corbuzier, while CNN Indonesia presents it through a more neutral and independent point of view. These two portals have an important role in shaping public opinion, but keep in mind that the point of view brought by online media can affect readers' perceptions, so understanding the context of each news is crucial.
