Abstract

This study aimed to analyze netizens’ responses to child health education content shared through the Instagram account @citra_amelinda. The account regularly posted health information targeting parents, especially regarding early childhood. The research used a quantitative descriptive method with content analysis, focusing on four topics: polio vaccination, pneumonia, infant circumcision, and symptoms of tuberculosis (TB) in children. A total of eight hundred fifty seven comments were analyzed and categorized as positive, neutral, or negative. Positive comments showed agreement or appreciation, neutral comments mostly included questions or tags, while negative comments expressed doubt or disagreement. The polio vaccination content received the highest number of positive comments, while circumcision and vaccine-related posts attracted more negative responses. The results showed that Instagram can serve as an effective medium for health communication. It allowed interaction and response from the audience, especially parents, in digital spaces. Using the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory, content served as a stimulus that triggered reactions from followers, reflected through their comments. This study highlighted the potential of digital platforms in supporting public health education and promoting health literacy.
