Abstract
The exclusive interview entitled “President Prabowo Answering” between President Prabowo and seven national media journalists discussed several questions related to political and social issues that are currently developing in Indonesia as a form of President Prabowo's accountability to the public, as well as an effort to improve political communication to the Indonesian people. This research seeks to reveal the discourse on civilphobia through Rodney H. Jones' discourse analysis, or commonly known as digital discourse, using four important elements, namely text elements, context, action and interaction, as well as ideology and power. The results of the research on text elements showed that President Prabowo's expressions indicated an aversion to criticism as well as several statements that blamed unknown third parties. In the context element, it was revealed that all journalists invited were journalists from various national media who had a high level of credibility in the eyes of the Indonesian people, and revealed the background why the video of President Prabowo Answering was made and uploaded on Najwa Shihab's YouTube channel. The action and interaction elements were analyzed through several platforms such as YouTube comments, TikTok, Twitter/X, and Instagram. Thus, various discussions have emerged regarding the term civil phobia among social media users in Indonesia. In the elements of ideology and power, it was found that the YouTube platform is a digital media that has many advantages, such as the speed of ideology distribution from the content producers. The exclusive interviews with journalists in the President Prabowo Menjawab video illustrate how the role of digital media today affects the effectiveness of political communication between the government and the people, both in conveying information and shaping new images, reputations, and perceptions among the Indonesian people Keywords: Rodney H.
