Abstract
The banking sector has a strategic role in supporting the growth of the national economy through the financial intermediation function, so its performance and stability are the main concerns of stakeholders, including investors. The value of banking companies reflects the market's perception of the financial prospects and business sustainability of a bank. However, in the last few years, the company value of the banking sub-sector in Indonesia has shown a downward trend, especially as reflected through the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio. This condition encourages the need to analyze the factors that influence firm value. This study aims to analyze the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Operational Efficiency Ratio (OER) on firm value in the conventional banking sub-sector which listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2021-2023. This study uses quantitative approach with purposive sampling technique and multiple linear regression analysis method. Data is obtained from the annual financial statements of conventional banking companies that are sampled during the three-year period, then analyzed using the SPSS version 29 application. The results showed that the stronger the capital (CAR), the higher the firm value because it reflects the stability and trust of investors. Conversely, the lower the level of lending (LDR), the value of the company actually increases, because it is considered to reflect prudence in managing funds. Operational efficiency (OER) has not been a major factor, but the direction of the findings shows that the lower operating costs, the more the company tends to be valued by the market.
