Abstract
Nowadays, environmental issues are mostly related to corporations that usually rely on complex and extensive supply chains. In PTTU Surabaya, raw materials are stored in large storage facilities located outside the city and at considerable distances. This arrangement results in significant carbon emissions from the vehicles used to transport these materials. PTTU Surabaya acts as an authorized distributor of heavy equipment from Caterpillar, a leading American manufacturer present in industries such as mining, construction, oil and gas, forestry and agriculture, and power systems. In the industrial arena, global competition is getting fiercer as consumer demand increases. These days, supply chain management can be divided into two categories: environmentally friendly supply chain management and conventional management, which focuses mostly on increasing value. Consequently, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive examination of all facets of production, including suppliers, procurement, and production. One such strategy that can be used is the GSCOR method. This study offers new insights by offering solutions for supplier-related problems like material quality issues, fluctuating raw material prices, limited delivery capacity, and delayed deliveries. The goal of this program is to help PTTU Surabaya reduce production waste and boost the productivity of each supplier. The computation results show that the performance percentages of three processes—plan, source, and make—are below optimal. Process performance is assessed using the calculation percentage; the closer the percentage is to 100%, the better; if it is far from 100%, the business should be concerned because it has a big impact on how well its suppliers perform at PTTU Surabaya.
