Abstract
ABSTRACT COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF POSYANDU HEALTH SERVICES IN GAYUNGAN VILLAGE SURABAYA CITY Audry Valencia Jeta Zafira NPM.20041010109 This study aims to analyze community participation of integrated health service posts (Posyandu) in Gayungan Subdistrict, Surabaya City. Community participation is a crucial factor supporting the success of community-based health services, particularly in improving the health of mothers, infants, and toddlers. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The findings reveal that the level of community participation still requires enhancement, particularly regarding active involvement in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages of the Posyandu program. Influencing factors include community awareness of the benefits of Posyandu, the involvement of community leaders, and the quality of services provided. This study recommends improving health education, empowering cadres, and strengthening synergy between subdistrict government and the community to ensure the Posyandu services operate optimally and sustainably. Consequently, the results are expected to contribute significantly to the development of more participatory and effective community health services at the subdistrict level.
