Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effects of environmental performance, board gender diversity, and corporate reputation on financial performance, by introducing firm size as a moderating variable in companies within the oil, gas, and coal sub-sector as well as the agricultural food products industry listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020–2023. The population of this research includes companies in the oil, gas, and coal sub-sector and the agricultural food products industry listed on the IDX. Using purposive sampling techniques, 15 companies were selected that met the criteria and were relevant for this study. The data analysis method used is the SEM-PLS (Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares) approach, utilizing the SmartPLS 3.0 software for data processing. The results of the study show that environmental performance and board gender diversity have a positive but not significant effect on financial performance. In contrast, corporate reputation has a positive and significant effect on financial performance. Furthermore, the presence of firm size as a moderating variable does not significantly influence the three relationships among the studied variables. This research provides practical implications for business organizations to maintain their reputation and optimize the benefits of gender diversity and environmental performance in order to influence financial performance, regardless of the company's size.
