Abstract
In the Solo–Yogyakarta Toll Road Project, the foundation structure of the slab on pile for the ramp on was originally designed using bored piles. However, this method requires a longer construction time and a more complex implementation process. On the other hand, driven piles offer a more practical construction method and shorter execution time. Therefore, a redesign using driven piles with diameter variations of 0.6 m and 0.8 m was conducted. The data used in this study were obtained from borehole log BH-58 and supplemented through correlation methods to complete other required parameters. The bearing capacity of the driven piles was analyzed using the Nakazawa method, while the bearing capacity of the bored pile was based on secondary data. Furthermore, lateral behavior and settlement analyses for both foundation types were carried out using PLAXIS software. This study aims to compare the bearing capacity, settlement, and volume of the existing bored pile foundation with the redesigned driven pile foundations. The results show that the driven pile with a diameter of 0.8 m has a higher bearing capacity than both the existing foundation and the 0.6 m driven pile. However, the 0.6 m driven pile exhibits the smallest settlement among the three. Additionally, the volume of the 0.6 m driven pile design is less than that of the 0.8 m and the existing foundation. Therefore, the 0.6 m driven pile is considered more efficient for implementation.
