Abstract

In this Field Work Practice (Praktek Kerja Lapangan) project, a Restful API was developed for an electronic flight ticket platform (E-Flight Ticket) using Node.js and a PostgreSQL database. Restful API was chosen for its flexibility, while Node.js and PostgreSQL were selected for their scalability and data security. The objective of this project was to design and develop a reliable and efficient Restful API for an online flight ticket booking system. The project implementation involved system requirements analysis, development of essential and optional features such as authentication, user profiles, notifications, flight search, ticket booking, and payment processing. The project successfully implemented key features including user authentication, flight search, ticket booking, profile management, and notifications. The system is expected to improve the efficiency of the flight ticket booking process and enhance the overall user experience. The development of a Restful API for the electronic flight ticket platform using Node.js and PostgreSQL represents an innovative step toward improving flight ticket booking services. The main features implemented include flight search, ticket booking along with ticket and payment management, user management, and related information about airlines, airports, and aircraft. With these features, users are expected to easily book flight tickets according to their preferences. The conclusion of this project shows that with proper design and the implementation of suitable technologies, an online flight ticket booking system can operate efficiently and reliably, providing an optimal user experience.
