Abstract
Land conversion is a passed-down problem. Nowadays, it has been a serious case, as in Kloposepuluh Village, Sukodono District, Sidoarjo Regency. This study aims to (1) analyze the factors influencing the conversion of agricultural land, (2) analyze the socio-economic impacts, and (3) analyze the contribution of agricultural and non-agricultural income to the economic well-being of rice farmer households. The analysis methods used are multiple linear regression and descriptive analysis using primary and secondary data. The research results show that the influence of other farmers, developers, job opportunities in other sectors, land area, and economic pressure significantly affect land use change, while government policy does not have a significant impact. The socioeconomic impact includes a decrease in farming income and a reduction in the number of farmers, although it does not create social inequality.
