Abstract

Indonesia is one of the world's pepper producers. Indonesia also ranks 6th as a pepper exporter in the international market in 2022. This study aims to analyze the comparative advantages of Indonesian pepper, analyze Indonesia's position as a pepper exporting country, and analyze Indonesia's ability to capture the pepper export market. The methods used are Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Trade Specialization Index (ISP), and Acceleration Ratio (AR). The results of the study show that 1) Indonesia has strong comparative competitiveness with an average RCA value of 6.05. 2) Indonesia has a positive ISP value and is in a period of growth, but has not been able to compete with Vietnam and India. 3) The average AR value of 0.89 indicates that Indonesia has not been able to capture the international market.
