Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of labor force participation, open unemployment rate, economic growth, and education level of the Human Development Index (HDI) in Malang Regency during the 2019-2023 period. Human development is a crucial aspect of regional advancement, with HDI serving as a comprehensive indicator encompassing health, education, and income dimensions. The research adopts a quantitative approach using multiple liniear regression analysis. Secondary data obtained from the Centra, Bureau of Statistic (BPS) of Malang Regency is used to measure the relationship between independent variables Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR), Open Unemployment Rate (OUR), Economic Growth Rate, and Average Years of Schooling and the dependent variable, HDI. The result indicate that each independent variable has a varying level of influence on HDI, with education and labor force participation showing a more significant impact. These findings are expected to provide input for local government in formulating targeted policies to enhance human development through employment opportunities and educational access.
