Abstract

Surabaya, the capital of East Java, is a strategic business center that plays a significant role in regional economic growth. As the second largest city in Indonesia with the highest contribution to GRDP in East Java, Surabaya is a magnet for domestic and international companies from various sectors such as trade, technology, and financial services. The city's economic development drives the need for efficient office space amidst limited land. The construction of vertical office buildings is a solution to meet these needs. However, the phenomenon of work stress experienced by many employees, with 64% of Indonesian workers reporting increased work pressure, highlights the importance of designing a work environment that supports well-being. The Healing Environment concept and the Fun Workspace theme can be applied through the issue programming method to create a conducive work atmosphere, reduce stress, and increase productivity. Healing Environment integrates elements that support physical and mental health through optimal spatial layout, lighting, air circulation, and acoustics. With this theme and approach, rental offices in Surabaya are not only workspaces, but also restorative environments that support employee well-being holistically.
