Abstract
PT. Jawapos Media Television is a private broadcasting institution based on a legal entity that operates a local television station in East Java through JTV. Various programs have been launched to reflect the cultural diversity and uniqueness of East Java, which sets JTV apart from other television stations. Therefore, JTV can attract the attention of many viewers, especially in East Java, through programs in Javanese or local languages. However, it is not impossible that through these distinctive features, JTV can gain new viewers outside East Java, allowing them to indirectly appreciate the art and culture of East Java through diverse programs. In order to further develop the potential held by JTV, the television station needs its own information media to facilitate viewers in watching all programs on JTV. Besides creating a website, PT. Jawapos Media Television can create an application to cater to the diverse needs of viewers. Through the application, users can easily and quickly access content without the need to open a browser first. Therefore, the author will design the front-end interface of the JTV Rek streaming and news application so that users can easily understand the selection and use of features in the application. The author's two main steps to directly contribute to the development of JTV are first to design the UI/UX using the Figma platform for phone, tablet, and Smart TV devices. After that, the author will attempt to implement some of the designed elements, especially for phones, into the Android Studio software so that the design created can function as an Android-based application.
