Abstract

Continuous propagation of brazilian spinach with cuttings often has an impact on plant growth where the leaves are small and grow stunted. Vertical cultivation needs to be supported by good planting media so that growth is optimal and the harvest is higher. The provision of growth regulators such as gibberellins is carried out so that the resulting fresh weight increases with large leaves. This study was arranged based on a factorial completely randomized design. Factor 1 is the composition of the planting media consisting of Soil + Rice Husk Charcoal + Manure (2: 1: 1), (1: 1: 2), and (1: 2: 1). Factor 2 is the concentration of gibberellin consisting of 0 ppm, 100 ppm, 200 ppm, 300 ppm. The results showed that the combination of planting media with a ratio of Soil + Rice Husk Charcoal + Manure (1: 1: 2) and a gibberellin concentration of 200 ppm gave the best results by increasing the total fresh weight by 230.85% and the fresh weight of consumption by 258.72% compared to treatment Soil + Rice Husk Charcoal + Manure (2:1:1) with a concentration of 0 ppm.
