Abstract

Sustainable development is a key objective to ensure that future generations can thrive without compromising the needs of the present. One method of achieving sustainable development is through green building certification, which evaluates the efficiency savings that have been accomplished. This study focuses on analyzing the implementation of green building concepts in office structures. The analysis examines aspects of energy, water, and material efficiency using the EDGE program provided by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a notable provider of green building certification. The scope of this research includes assessments aimed at certifying both existing buildings and those completed after construction. The findings reveal that the implementation of green building practices in office buildings results in energy savings of 16.63%, water savings of 34.79%, and material savings of 92%.
