Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the form of negligence of the right to information on e-cigarette products carried out by producers against consumers for not fulfilling the right to product information on e-cigarette liquids and to find out the legal remedies that can be taken by consumers for not fulfilling the right to product information on e-cigarette liquids. In the context of law, the actions of business actors who do not provide adequate information to consumers can be classified as unlawful acts in accordance with the provisions in Article 1365 of the Civil Law which regulates liability for losses arising from unlawful acts. This research is a normative juridical research with a legislative and conceptual approach, the data source in this research is secondary data. Data collection is obtained by literature study. The results of this study show that the responsibilities of business actors towards consumers are regulated in Article 19 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and legal remedies that consumers can take against business actors, namely in the litigation route regulated in Article 45 of Law Number 8 of 1999 concerning Consumer Protection and non-litigation routes through the Consumer Dispute Management Agency.
