Abstract
PT. Petrokimia Gresik is under the auspices of PT. Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC), formerly known as PT. Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Persero) or PUSRI (Persero) is also engaged in the production of fertilizers, non-fertilizers, chemicals and other services such as construction and engineering services. PIHC is under the State-Owned General Agency (BUMN) within the scope of the Indonesian Industry and Trade Compartment. PT. Petrokimia Gresik is the most complete fertilizer company in Indonesia which produces various kinds of fertilizers, such as: Urea, ZA, Super Phosphate (SP-36), NPK Phonska, DAP, NPK Kebomas, ZK and organic fertilizer, namely Petroganik. PT Petrokimia Gresik has also produced non-fertilizer products such as sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, ammonia, dry ice, aluminum fluoride, cement retarder, etc. Initially PT. Petrokimia Gresik was founded under the name 'Surabaya Petrokimia Project' in 1960. The construction agreement was jointly signed on 10 August 1964 and became effective on 8 December 1964. This project was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia on 10 July 1972. Based on the environment of Indonesia, which is an agricultural country and has very abundant natural resources, the emphasis of development lies in the agricultural sector. One of the agricultural intensification efforts is carried out by establishing a fertilizer factory to meet fertilizer needs, one of which is PT. Petrokimia Gresik.
