Abstract
At the age of 9-12 years is the beginning of puberty for children, at this age children experience many changes in terms of physical, psychological and social. these changes occur so quickly without being realized including changes in sexual and hormonal organs, so that they can take risky actions if they do not get education and attention early on about reproductive education. However, there are still many parents who consider it taboo to provide education about the reproductive system in children, so that the provision of education about the reproductive system is given entirely in school. Providing education about the reproductive system is explained by the teacher in grade 6, and only audio explanations without visuals, because there is no supporting media to provide reproductive system education. Therefore, the right media is needed and can be used as educational media about the reproductive system, namely interactive illustration books, especially for children aged 9-12 years who will enter the puberty phase. The method used in designing interactive illustration books is qualitative from data collection through interviews, FGD and observations. The data that has been obtained will be processed using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques and 5W + 1H. The results of the data that has been analyzed will be processed again to get keywords as a reference concept in making interactive illustration books. The keywords that have been obtained will be a reference for visual, verbal and media concepts. With the creation of educational media in the form of interactive illustration books about the reproductive system is expected to be an easy and fun educational media for children in learning the importance of maintaining the reproductive system.
