Abstract
Traditional games are a cultural heritage of Indonesia that was born from the community environment and has traditions that are passed down from generation to generation. However, its existence is starting to fade, due to increasingly sophisticated technological developments. So that the Kampoeng Dolanan community was formed as a forum for preserving traditional game culture whose members are young men and women from Kenjeran Village. Striving for traditional games to be known by the community, especially children through village partners, cooperation partners and community programs. This study examines the actions and behaviors carried out by the Kampoeng Dolanan community in maintaining and introducing traditional games in the city of Surabaya. With a descriptive qualitative approach method, it produces a theory of suitability about roles according to Biddel and Thomas based on five indicators including expectations, norms, forms of behavior, assessments, and sanctions. Where based on the results of observations and documentation it is known that the activities carried out by the Kampoeng Dolanan community together with village partners, cooperation partners and community programs as real actions package traditional game culture into activities that create satisfaction and interesting experiences for tourists. So it can be concluded that stakeholder involvement supports the community in realizing data collection strategies, exploration, and maintaining the existence of traditional games so that they are known to many people through research, studies, and media narratives.
