Abstract
The growth of the digital economy in Indonesia has experienced rapid development along with the optimization of human resource management. The implementation of the right management system can increase the job satisfaction of individuals involved, especially in application-based industries such as Gojek. Factors that influence job satisfaction include compensation and work motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work motivation on the job satisfaction of Gojek Surabaya drivers. This quantitative study uses primary data obtained through distributing questionnaires to 100 Gojek drivers as samples. The sample determination technique uses non-probability sampling with the accidental sampling method. The collected data were analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method with the SmartPLS 4 program. The test results show that compensation contributes positively to job satisfaction with the largest contribution to the incentive aspect. Work motivation also contributes to job satisfaction with the strongest measure in the reward aspect. Both variables, compensation and work motivation, have a significant effect on the job satisfaction of Gojek drivers.
