Abstract
A region will experience a phase of accelerated growth if several of its economic sectors have potential. This will encourage development as well as the Sampang Regency and Situbondo Regency to find out which sectors have potential in economic development. The study uses a quantitative approach using secondary data from the Gross Regional Product data of Madiun Regency, Magetan Regency, and East Java Province for the period 2017-2021. The analytical tools used are LQ analysis, Shift share, Klassen Typology and Growth Ratio Model. Based on the results of the analysis of Location Quotient, Shift Share, Klassen Typology and Growth Ratio Model in 2018-2022, Sampang Regency has 6 base sectors, has ten sectors that tend to encourage, has 9 sectors that grow faster, eight sectors that have locational advantages, has three sectors that can be categorized as advanced and rapid sectors, there is 1 prominent sector. Meanwhile, Situbondo Regency has 10 base sectors, has eight sectors that tend to encourage, 2022 has 11 sectors that grow faster, there are nine sectors that have locational advantages, has one sector that can be categorized as an advanced sector, there is one sector that is included in the classification of more than 1.
