Abstract
In today's digital era, technology has become an inseparable part of society, particularly for MSMEs in the fashion sector in Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency, which plays an important role in the local economy. Despite the advances in technology, many MSME actors still face obstacles in accessing formal financial services. This is often due to low financial literacy and the lack of utilization of financial technology (FinTech). Low financial inclusion can hinder the growth and sustainability of their businesses. Therefore, a deeper understanding is needed of how financial literacy, the adoption of FinTech, and the role of social capital can enhance financial inclusion, allowing MSMEs to grow and compete amidst ever-changing economic challenges. This study aims to analyze the influence of financial literacy and financial technology (FinTech) on financial inclusion, with social capital acting as a mediator, in MSMEs in the fashion sector in Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency. In the digital era, technology has become a primary need that facilitates various activities, including in the financial sector through FinTech. The level of financial literacy and the adoption of FinTech are important factors in improving financial inclusion, especially for MSMEs. This study also examines the role of social capital as a mediator that can strengthen the relationship between financial literacy and FinTech with financial inclusion. Using the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) approach, this research identifies that attitudes toward behavior, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control are influential factors in individuals' intentions to access financial services. The results of the study show that financial literacy and FinTech have a significant impact on financial inclusion, with social capital playing a significant role as a mediator in this relationship. With the support of strong social networks, MSMEs find it easier to gain access to information and trust, which ultimately increases their involvement in the formal financial system. Keywords: Financial Literacy; Financial Technology (FinTech); Financial Inclusion; Social Capital; Fashion MSMEs.
