Abstract
The creative industries have become an important pillar in the global economy, emphasizing the use of individual skills, creativity and talents. Tangerang City, as a developing region, recognizes the great potential in the creative industry and has formulated a development mission to improve its creative economy sector through the 2021-2026 Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD). However, problems such as the lack of creative platforms or centers are a challenge to the growth of this industry. To respond to this, the Tangerang creative center was designed using a contemporary architectural approach as a solution to increase the development of creative industries in South Tangerang City. The Creative Center is expected to become a center for social interaction, business development and creativity for professionals and creative individuals. By using a contemporary architectural approach, this design not only meets functional needs, but also creates a modern icon that attracts people's attention. Through this approach, the Creative Center is expected to be a catalyst for economic growth based on high added value in the creative economy sector in South Tangerang City. The facilities provided, such as creative studios, shared work spaces and exhibition areas, are expected to provide optimal support for creative industry activists. Thus, it is hoped that this Creative Center can be an answer to the problem of lack of facilities faced by the creative industry in this region and become a basis for further development in supporting the creative ecosystem in Tangerang City.
