Abstract
Gresik Regency's TPT of 6.82% in 2023 makes the Gresik Regency Government continue to strive to reduce unemployment, one of which is through the Vocational Home Education and Training program, which is the only one in Indonesia. To ensure the success of the program, a maximum roleh is needed from the Gresik Regency Manpower Office as the coordinator and implementer of the program. The purpose of this study is to find out the roleh of the Gresik Regency labor office in vocational education and training at the Vocational House. The research method used in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach using the publik sektor roleh theory by Jones. Using primary and secondary data sources and data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study state that the rolehs carried out by the Gresik Directorate are optimal starting from the implementation of the regulations that are carried out, control and supervision of activities carried out well, so that the goals of the Vocational House slowly begin to be realized. However, in reducing the unemployment rate in Gresik Regency, this program only provides a small percentage of its output, so further efforts are still needed in eradicating unemployment with a large percentage.
