Abstract
Economic growth is a process of continuous changes in the economic conditions of a country towards a better direction over a certain period. Good economic growth is characterized by an increase in gross domestic product. Continuous economic growth will have positive impacts on income improvement, job availability, and increased community welfare. This research aims to identify and test the influence of exports and imports on economic growth using the fund flow accounting approach mediated by foreign direct investment in Indonesia from 2018 to 2022 using a quantitative method approach. The population in this study includes all data on exports, imports, FDI, and economic growth from 34 provinces in Indonesia. Purposive sampling technique was used to select the samples in this study. The type of data used is secondary data in the form of foreign trade statistical reports, Indonesian statistical reports, and foreign direct investment realization reports obtained from the official websites of BPS and BKPM. Data processing in this study used PLS with the help of WarpPLS 7.0 software. The results show that exports and imports affect economic growth using the fund flow accounting approach. Foreign direct investment actively mediates the relationship between exports and imports on economic growth using the fund flow accounting approach.
