Abstract

The United States government continues to address immigration at the US-Mexico border, leading to annual policy changes. Trump's immigration policies exhibited anti-immigrant and nationalist stances during his administration. During the transition to the Joe Biden administration, a number of Trump-era immigration policies were rescinded or revived. This study aims to elucidate the domestic and international factors influencing changes in US foreign migration policy to tackle immigration issues at the Mexico border, using Eidenfalk's theory of foreign policy change. The research employs a descriptive research approach with qualitative data analysis techniques.
