Abstract

East Java is one of the regions in Indonesia that ranks number 1 in terms of adolescent mental disorders in Indonesia. According to data from the East Java Health Profile book, Surabaya has a larger and dominant number of adolescents. Surabaya has several rehabilitation facilities, but there is still no rehabilitation facility specifically for adolescent mental health. Based on data from the Surabaya Health Office, 18.8% of individuals suffer from mental disorders. To reduce the prevalence of mental disorders among adolescents, it is necessary to conduct structured training, counseling, and comprehensive recovery efforts for adolescents in Surabaya. The establishment of a Youth Mental Rehabilitation Center is intended to support mental health facilities for adolescents, hoping to encourage Surabaya's adolescents to prioritize mental health without fear of societal stigma. This aligns with the principles of Behavioral Architecture, which recognize adolescents' preference for freedom. Therefore, the building is designed using a healing environment to aid the healing process and create a sense of calm and comfort in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
