Abstract

This research will discuss the perception of sustainable fashion among generation Z on TikTok social media. This is important to do because currently many generation Z consume fast fashion which makes daily consumption. This is because there is a lot of content on tiktok social media that displays a variety of fashion content ranging from mix and match clothes, cheap clothing recommendations, and live tiktok by selling various fashion trends. This research uses a qualitative method. qualitative method. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The result of this study is that generation Z is able to give their opinion regarding sustainable fashion and fast fashion content on tiktok. A lot of content makes generation Z feel interested and consume products with the content that is present on TikTok. Even though generation Z understands how sustainable fashion is done, this does not reduce generation Z's buying interest in fast fashion products on tiktok. Even generation Z consumes products to follow trends and fulfill pleasure. The conclusion of this study is the lack of awareness of generation Z to implement a sustainable lifestyle and the lack of socialization about the importance of implementing sustainable fashion.
