Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of production quantity, labor, and working hours on productivity at CV. XYZ, a chemical manufacturing company that operates as a sole supplier. This research uses a quantitative approach and is an associative research. The sampling technique used in this study was saturated sampling technique with a total sample size of 24 monthly production reports from 2020-2021. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using Statistic. The results showed that simultaneously the amount of production, labor, and working hours had a significant effect on productivity. Partially, the amount of production has a significant positive effect on productivity. This is indicated by the significance value of the amount of production (X1) of 0.000 which is smaller than the value of α (0.05), as well as the calculated t value of 12.832 which is greater than the t table (2.085), which means that an increase in the amount of production will increase productivity. Conversely, labor and working hours have a significant negative effect on productivity. The significance value of labor (X2) and working hours (X3) is 0.000 respectively, with t count of -8.601 and -10.886 which are smaller than t table (-2.085), indicating that an increase in labor and working hours actually decreases productivity. The results of the F test show a significance value of 0.000 which is smaller than the α value (0.05) and the calculated F value of 63.508 which is greater than the F table (3.07), so that simultaneously, the amount of production, labor, and working hours have a significant effect on productivity. This research provides important insights for the management of CV. XYZ to consider optimizing the amount of production as well as managing labor and working hours to increase company productivity.
