Abstract

Film has become a cultural industry commodity which has now shifted not only to being a medium for cultural dissemination. Rather, it has become a large industry that provides entertainment media and a source of income. As done by Sony Pictures Television. As a company that also has various branch companies such as Naughty Dog and Playstation Production, this company can carry out production and distribution activities for every film and series they publish. One example is the series "The Last of Us". This research will elaborate on the fragmentation process and determine the value chain of the television series "The Last of Us" using the Global Film Value Chain concept. Through this concept, researchers will elaborate on the mapping process from the initial stage, namely creation, to the final stage, namely the exhibition of the TV series "The Last of Us". The method used in compiling this research is a descriptive - qualitative research method. Which is used to elaborate on phenomena related to the Global Film Value Chain in the series "The Last of Us". Meanwhile, the results obtained from this research are the production of the series "The Last of Us" which has gone through all stages in the main part starting from the creation stage to the exhibition.
