Abstract

Eco Enzyme Nusantara Community is a non-profit organization with the aim of processing organic waste into eco enzyme liquid. This community utilizes various social media in its online activities. The variety of social media used has its own limitations and functions, so there are several problems experienced by volunteer members, namely not all members use these various social media platforms and each platform has its own advantages and disadvantages so that the information obtained will not be comprehensive and impractical. The rapid development of technology at this time has an impact on major changes in human activities in the way of production, data processing, and various other aspects of human life, one of which is the use of various applications in this era. Applications can be an innovation and solution in accommodating online activities, based on the results of the questionnaire, 80.7% of 57 respondents agreed to the existence of an application for the Eco Enzyme Nusantara Community so that only one application is enough. The approach used a mixed method (qualitative and quantitative) by conducting interviews, questionnaires, and observations on data collection and the design thinking method in the concept design process which includes 5 stages, namely empathize (explore problems), define (analyze problems), ideate (find solutions), prototype (make designs), and testing (application trials). After collecting data, then analyze with the fishbone method to analyze what features are needed. The result obtained is an application that contains information about eco enzymes and also a forum for sharing with other volunteer members. This application uses a simple design concept, uncomplicated informal language, colors according to the identity of the community, and the selection of a display that suits the user's wishes. The UI/UX design of this Eco Enzyme Community Application has the aim of providing a virtual space/container for community volunteer members in online community activities with features that are in accordance with the needs and desires of users with a simple and attractive appearance so that it is easy to understand the flow of its use.
