Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of determining the influence of financial performance, earnings volatility and growth opportunity on stock price volatility. This research uses secondary data in the form of annual reports from energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) during the 2019-2022 period as research objects. Sample selection was carried out using a purposive sampling technique which resulted in 18 companies with a total of 72 sample observations. This research uses multiple linear regression analysis to test hypotheses with the help of the SPSS version 26 program. The results of the research show that financial performance has a negative effect and growth opportunity has a positive effect on stock price volatility. Meanwhile, earnings volatility has no effect on stock price volatility.
