Abstract

Aluminum Sulfate is a chemical compound that has the chemical formula Al2(SO4)3 and has the general tawas. The use of aluminum sulfate is often found in the water treatment industry as a coagulant. Apart from that, aluminum sulfate is also used in the paper industry, leather industry, batik industry, textile industry, cosmetics industry, fire extinguishing industry and others. This Aluminum Sulfate Factory uses a neutralization process, which is the most efficient and effective process and produces quite high yields. Establishment of an aluminum sulfate factory using aluminum oxide and sulfuric acid as raw materials with a capacity of 40,000 tons/year. Plans to establish a factory in the Cikande Modern Industrial Area, Serang, Banten. Founded with a 24 hour continuous process with 330 working days with 155 employees. By looking at the various considerations and economic analysis calculations that have been carried out, the establishment of an aluminum sulfate factory is technically and economically feasible with detailed Return of Investment (ROI) values before tax of 23% and after tax of 17%. The Pay Back Period (PBP) is 4 years 8 months, with a Break Even Point (BEP) value of 31.82%.
