Abstract

The Village-Owned Enterprise (BUM Desa) "Wage Bersinar" is a business entity managed with one of the objectives, namely to improve the village economy. In BUM Desa Wage Bersinar, a reference is needed in managing its business. This can refer to Good Corporate Governance as a good corporate governance system, in which there are principles for managing business entities. This research aims to describe and analyze the implementation of Good Corporate Governance in the management of the Village-Owned Enterprise (BUM Desa) Wage Bersinar in Wage Village, Taman District, Sidoarjo Regency. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques carried out through interviews, observation and document collection. Data analysis used in this research, namely data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusions drawing or verifying. The results of the research show that the management of BUM Desa “Wage Bersinar” has been carried out in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance. In Transparency, the delivery of information is carried out clearly and accurately, but the provision of this information cannot be easily accessed by the public. Accountability, clarity of duties and responsibilities, work competency, and reporting on performance. It's just that they haven't implemented a reward and punishment system. Responsibility, compliance with the law and social responsibility to society. Independence, the absence of domination from outside and inside parties, and the existence of economic independence. Fairness, providing fair and reasonable treatment, and providing equal opportunities to all parties involved. Based on the results of this research, Good Corporate Governance in the management of BUM Desa "Wage Bersinar" has been implemented optimally, although in its implementation there are still a few obstacles.
