Abstract
In the industrial era 4.0, print media has switched to digital media. One of the growing trends in urban areas is digital signage. In general, digital signage is used for displaying information, advertising, counselling, and entertainment. Information can be displayed in text, animation, or video which is packaged in visual content and is real-time updating. Digital signage as an information medium of the innovative steps that can be applied and developed in digital announcement service systems, especially in educational institutions. The presentation of announcements at the Faculty of Computer Science UPN “Veteran” East Java has been using print and digital media, namely through Instagram and the official website, which is managed by an admin. The Faculty of Computer Science also has an information facility in the form of an LED Monitor as a digital platform. However, this platform has not been used optimally, especially in providing announcements related to activities within the FIK environment. This research uses digital signage that can be operated by one admin through the CMS Play Digital Signage web application as an announcement service system solution. With the use of digital signage, information delivery can be more effective and efficient.
