Abstract

Pre-Plan The Glycerol Factory is planned to be able to produce with a capacity of 60,000 tons/year in liquid form. Glycerol is an important product used in several industries, such as medicines, foodstuffs, cosmetics, toothpaste, lubricants and ceramics. A brief description of the process of the Glycerol factory, namely: Crude Palm Oil and Water raw materials enter the reactor at a temperature of 250 oC, pressure of 50 atm. The glycerol mixture removes the water content using a flash tank. Then the neutralization process uses NaOH to bind the remaining triglycerides in the glycerol mixture. The glycerol mixture is concentrated in an evaporator to reduce the water content so that it is obtained 99% glycerol solution. Glycerol is pumped into the deodoration tank to remove unwanted odors. This pure glycerol is then stored in a glycerol product tank, packaged and ready to be marketed. This factory is planned to be built in 2026. Plan The factory location was established in Tampan, Payung Sekaki District, Pekanbaru City. The provisions for the planned establishment of the Glycerol factory can be summarized as follows: Capacity: 60,000 tons/year Company Form: Limited Liability Company Organizational System: Line and Staff Factory Location: Handsome, Payung Sekaki, Pekanbaru Land area: 22,641 m2 or 2.26 ha Operating System: Continuous Operating Time: 330 days/year; 24 hours/day Number of Employees: 121 People Materials used: Crude Palm Oil, Air, NaOH, Carbon Active
