Abstract
The development of technology at this time makes everyone more easy to get access to the internet. It's growing technology also affects the facilities around them, for example more and more networks are used for roaming the internet to be found. With the convenience that exists, it makes several parties misuse the technology to do illegal things by stealing data or information from other users who are on the same network, this happens because of the gaps encountered by the attacker on the network Therefore, network security must also be considered when The user wants to connect his device to the network that will be used. The author uses a brute force attack by using aircrack-ng framework as well as sniffing attacks using bettercap version 2.xx to find loopholes in the network topology. Besides attack, the author will also use the IDPS method by using arpwatch and also mac address filtering to fight and prevent attacks that occurred in this research. With the research and implementation trials that have carried out by the author, then the network process that works at the research site can be secured from brute force attacks and also sniffing that can exploit traffic from users on the network.
