Abstract
Preaching the results of the 2019 election and presidential election in the mass media gave an extraordinary opinion in Indonesian society with the number of election participation in 2019 reaching 192 million people and there were around 42 million people who voted for millennials. But in this 2019 election, Surabaya increased the number of millennial elections to 400 thousand people. This research uses the grand theory of S-O-R with an effect that shows attitude. Attitudes are reviewed from three components, namely cognitive, affective, and conative dimension of the message which consists of the message content dimension. This study uses a quantitative descriptive method and the method of data analysis in this study uses a frequency table that is used to assess data obtained from interviews obtained from questionnaires collected by respondents. The results of this study are the majority of respondents who chose neutral by 57%. Most respondents understood and understood the news about the 2019 presidential election, but they chose to remain silent.
